Devices running Windows 10 RTM would not be available on the initial release date


Microsoft is set to release Windows 10 on July 29 for the consumers. Initially on July 29 the users who have registered in the Windows Insider program would be prioritized first for receiving the OS via Windows Update. As of now, more than 5 million users have registered for Windows Insider and are giving valuable feedback on Windows 10 to Microsoft.

If you wish to buy a new device with Windows 10 pre-installed on July 29th, then you would have to wait for a while. Dell is currently the only OEM who has started taking pre-orders for devices running Windows 10 and the devices are expected to reach the customers on July 30th. In the coming months Windows 10 would be available on wide range of other devices from other OEM’s.
