Microsoft Lumia 540 Camera Review

15th May was the date when Microsoft released their 4th Lumia device with own branding. We have already done a quick review and now after playing with it for a few more days we are now ready to write the full review.

While I started to write the full review I found that only adding a few photos and describing the camera and how it works won’t actually work, so I thought to make the camera review part separate with the full review and to do it at first as many people ask for more image samples. So let’s start…

As, all of us know, the Lumia 540 is equipped with an 8 Mega Pixel rear camera and 5 Mega Pixel front facing camera. It is featured in upper middle part of the device’s body like all other it’s siblings. It also has aperture of f/2.2, focus length of 28mm and LED Flash for better light conditions. As usual Lumia 540 comes with Lumia Camera app pre-installed (Not, Lumia Camera 5) and it takes a bit time to start though Lumia 540 is equipped with 1 GB of RAM. Although, the focusing is great and the lens is a lot better than the other same ranged devices. It took really sharp and crisp photos during the day light and by the night time the flash did a great work. Even, in low light conditions without flash the device worked par my expectations. Although, it slightly missed some details in the pictures and zoom was not so great.

In the front camera test it did exceptionally well, Lumia 540 does have a 5 Mega Pixel front facing camera with wide angle lens and takes really beautiful selfie’s in good light conditions.

But in the moral I would like to say the camera’s for a device which you can get for approx. 9000 INR is really good enough. Go through the gallery below and check image qualities.
